Coupled with a headache, a pregnant woman will find herself vomiting more often than usual upon waking up. Research has it that vomiting is caused by the fast changing hormones in the body. This new feeling does not sit well with a pregnant woman. However, after a month or so, the body gets used to the growing baby inside that it begins to &#8220;normalize&#8221; again, and vomiting stops.</p>
<p>One may also notice the darkening of areola, the dark portion around the nipples. Another sign is light spotting. It indicates implantation of the egg to the uterus. Spotting may either be pinkish or brownish.</p>
<p>Some lucky women will not experience vomiting or nausea, neither the darkening of the areola. But all pregnant women will find it hard to miss one very important detail, and that is, missed menstruation. Some women have a regular menstrual cycle, and it is easy for them to notice if they are pregnant or not. However, others have irregular menstrual cycles. To be sure, if one is active in sex and noticed that their period is not arriving for sometime now, getting a pregnancy kit can be the first step.</p>
<p>A pregnant woman may also experience cramping of the uterus. This may lead to frequent urination even before you experience missed periods. It is caused by the production of the hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (or hCG). <p>Sometimes, constipation is another symptom also. The uterus is very near the intestines. Any changes in the uterus, like in this case being pregnant, affect the intestines also.</p>
<p>Some women also experience frequent fatigue when pregnant. She will very sluggish, like she wants to just sleep all day. Again, this is caused by the changing hormonal levels in the body. Once it stabilizes, the body can return to normal.</p>
<p>A pregnant woman will also feel like she is coming down with a fever all the time. This is because of the increased body temperature. This easily goes away after a month.</p>
